HCG Diet Phase 2 Seasonings and Rubs
Phase 2 of the HCG Diet is incredibly rewarding because the weight loss comes so quickly! Typical results are 1 - 2 pounds per day. Unfortunately, after a few days of eating the same limited foods, it can also get incredibly boring! To spice things up, we put together a collection of the best recipes for Phase 2 of the HCG Diet.
BBQ Rub
2 1/2 T paprika
1 T granulated sugar substitute
1 T ground cumin
1 T black pepper
1 T chili powder
1 t salt
Pinch of black pepper
Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Lightly dampen meat then coat by shaking in Zip lock bag. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes and cook.
BBQ Rub tastes great on hamburger, steak and chicken.
Caribbean Chicken Rub
1 T parsley
1 t cumin
1 t chili powder
1/2 t black pepper
1/2 t allspice
1/4 t cinnamon
¼ t paprika
¼ t salt
Pinch of black pepper
Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Lightly dampen meat then coat by shaking in Zip lock bag. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes and cook.
Greek Seasoning Mix
2 1/4 t oregano
1 1/2 t onion powder
1 1/2 t garlic powder
1 t black pepper
1 t parsley
1 t basil
1/2 t cinnamon
1/2 t nutmeg
1/2 t thyme
1 t salt

Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.

Seafood Seasoning
1 T ground bay leaves
2½ t celery seed
1½ t dry mustard
1½ t black pepper
1 t paprika
¾ t ground nutmeg
½ t ground cloves
½ t ground ginger
½ t red pepper
¼ t ground cardamom
¼ t ground mace
¼ t salt
Pinch of black pepper
Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.

Taco Seasoning
4 ½ T chili powder
8 t onion powder
5 t ground cumin
4 t garlic powder
4 t paprika
3 t ground oregano
2 t ground red pepper
2 t salt

Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Cajun Seasoning
1 T chili powder1 T Hungarian paprika
1 t garlic powder
1 t onion powder
1/2 t dried oregano
1/2 t dried thyme
1/2 t cayenne pepper
1/2 t freshly ground pepper
Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.

Emeril's "Southwest Spice"
2 T chili powder
1 T dried oregano
2 T paprika
1 T ground coriander
1 T garlic powder
1 T salt
2 t ground cumin
1 t black pepper
1 t cayenne pepper
1 t ground red pepper
Mix all ingredients and store in an airtight container.
Lightly dampen meat then coat by shaking in Zip lock bag. Refrigerate for about 20 minutes and cook.
Indian Curry Seasoning
1 T turmeric
1 T coriander
2 t paprika
1 t pepper
1 t cumin
1 t ginger
1 t salt
1/2 t cloves
1/2 t celery seed
1/2 t cayenne
Pinch of black pepper
Combine all ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight container.
Mock Shake 'n Bake
1/2 cup minced dehydrated onions1/4 t coriander
1/4 t thyme
1/4 t red pepper flakes
¼ t paprika
1/8 t oregano
1/8 t paprika
1/8 t black pepper
1/8 t salt
Place all ingredients in food processor or coffee grinder
Grind to a powder
Store in an airtight container
Use this as coating on almost any meat before you cook it. Dampen the meat, then coat. This is great on chicken, fish, shrimp, and even hamburgers.
